Gene therapy for cancer with retrovirus vectors. Testing of vectors with tumor necrosis factor and vectors with siRNA expression cassette.

We have prepared safer selfinactivating retroviral vector pQCXIX-Neo containing neomycin resistance gene cloned into MCSI. pQCXIX-Neo is the vector suitable for cloning different genes under inducible promoters. We have replaced previously used, but now non-functional gene of Herpes simplex thymidine kinase in retroviral vector pJH5 by functional one, which suicide effect we have tested in different cancer cell lines. HSVtk gene will be cloned and tested.
