Soluble non-classical HLA class I antigens
Project leader: Katarína Poláková
Project duration: 2008 - 2010
Soluble non-classical HLA class I antigens.
The goal of this project is to elucidate the mechanisms by which soluble HLA-G antigens (sHLA-G) are produced. The study of soluble HLA-G antigens will involve the development of new monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies specific for HLA-G intron-4-peptide. Using these antibodies the soluble HLA-G antigens produced by
leukemia cell lines and malignant cells from leukemia patients will be characterized in details. A correlation between the leukemia status and the presence/quantity of distinct forms of soluble HLA-G will be analyzed.
Finally we will investigate the regulation of the HLA-G expression at the mRNA
