Antitumor effect of biologically active ligands of nuclear retinoid X receptor heterodimers in tissue carcinoma cell lines

The objective of the project proposal is the research on molecular mechanisms of biologically active retinoid X receptor (RXR) ligands that might synergically potentiate antitumour effect of nuclear retinoid receptor (RAR) ligands. We expect to analyze a group of retinoid X receptors ligands, selected derivates of the trialkyltin and triaryltin origin that respresent an important family of nuclear retinoid X receptor ligands.
